Green Beans in Olive Oil Recipe (Zeytinyağlı Taze Fasulye)

Directions

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and cook until translucent. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute. Add the green beans and carrots, stirring well to coat with the oil. Add the chopped tomatoes, sugar, salt, and pepper. Pour in the water, cover the pot, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes until the beans are tender. Allow it to cool to room temperature before serving. Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and a wedge of lemon.
